Wow, I cannot believe it is time to start preparing for the Holidays. We plan on a very festive season. We will decorate to the hilt and be right into the spirit.

Book your Holiday party in our private room. Have a smaller group, no probem. We are available for any size group up to 90. Custom menus and party plans available. Having a gathering at home? Let us do the work and pick up or have us deliver your food!! Tons of options, the sky is the limit. Also we will be selling soups and salad dressings for your dinners and gatherings as well.

Thursday is Pasta day, app or soup, warm artisan bread, family style salad and choice of family style gourmet pasta and camamel apple sundae for 22 per person.

Friday is Not just another fish fry friday, panko and potato chip crusted haddock with chili aioli, sweet potato fries with garlic mayo, and a choice of new england clam chowder or salad for 19.

Make a reservation for our Masquarade ball on Halloween, music, food, drinks, decorated to the hilt and lots of fun and good cheer!! Prizes too!!

I am so sorry, I am guilty of keeping my updates on Facebook and not keeping you all updated here!!

So lots going on in the restaurant and home life!! It has been a really great summer, better than I could have anticipated. We had some wonderful parties. We had the honor of Lisa Vromans wedding, and that was so nice. I need to get the pics up soon. www.lisavroman.com.

We are looking forward to the South Jeff teachers happy hour and we just upgraded our bar stools to accomodate that!! Conmfy and nice!!

South Jeffers, facebook and Mira blog followers come on in on Wednesdays for 3 dollars off Entree's and great wine specials and Pasta thursdays where we will have wine specials, a full family style dinner of soup or an appetizer, artisan breads, family style salads, exciting pasta choices and dessert for 22 per person.

We are having a halloween masquarade ball to support the foster childrens christmas party, the cover for food and music is 20 per person, 5 of that cover will go to the foster fun and 5 percent of the bar will go to support that as well. As adopted parents of 3 foster children we know first hand how hard it is in this economy to do for everyone and we want to help, plus we know how hard the dss workers work to put these things together. Psg Plumbing and Richards hair salon is on board helping us with this and we look forward to a great night and all of the support we can muster up.

So hard to believe we are this far into June!! Things are going so well, I know times are tough but we are just truckin along. Another wine tasting in the making and some other things in the wings!! Join my facebook page where I keep up with specials and events also!! Thanks Everyone!! Oh and My parents Dick and Sharon Wells, Lisa and I will be breakin eggs and flippin cakes at the Adams Revitilization pancake breakfast. Along with maple syrup from Lyle and Billie Pickert and cheese from Great lakes cheese!!!

Marvelous May

It has been an amazing month, and all I can say is whew!! Lots of great parties, and winding it down with a big catering job and some really nice dinner parties, keep th blessings coming.

Mothers Day weekend was really nice, and thank you to all of our employees for all the hard work these past few weeks, you have gone over and above.

Thank You Sierra, Zach, Josh and Casie for the photo album, the landscaping, the herbs, the rocks and and all of te flowers, that was the most amazing gift we have ever recieved and we smile whenever we pull up to Cafe' Mira, It looks so nice!! Check the journal next week for your special thank you!!

Sunday April 26th

We did something a little different and it was so much fun!! We at Cafe' Mira teamed up with Bryon and Christina at Lucia's Italian restaurant in Adams and Southern wine and Spirits and did a wine tasting. We had compiled a list of interested customers and had a full house. We pulled out all stops and did a fabulous 5 course small plates meal with each chef creating a dish for each course. Southern printed our fancy little menus and matched a wine with each course, we had champagne, reds, whites and a dessert wine. Live piano music and even the guests got up and sang some songs. The day could not have been more perfect. It was truly a wonderful community event and one I hope to do over and over again. After the wine tasting small little parties popped up in some of the guests homes and new friendships were formed and a special day was had by all.

Also on a side note please inquire about our "Chef's table" for a unique and special dining experience offered by foodies for foodies only at Cafe' Mira!!

Miss You Jo

This post is in loving memory of a good friend tha passed away on Saturday. She was full of life and had such purpose. She will be missed. Know we will always love you and will always look over your family. Rest in Peace my friend and feel free to visit me in my dreams anytime you please. life will never be he same without you!!

Ramblings

It was a bit of a quiet week, I prefer busy busy of course, oh well!! We have some fun stuff coming up this week, looking forward to a big party on Thursday and Saturday!! I think I will make something springy this week, springy is that a word?? I am thinking Mahi Mahi with coconut rice and mango salsa, yum!!!

We are getting ready to start the "Chef's Table" any adventures out there wanna work me hard and help me have some fun getting really creative!! the table will be decked out and funky and anything goes, parties of 2 to ??? I want to customize menu's of all your faves and have some fun!! Listen to the radio the ad should come out soon!!

We also have private dining available in our upstairs diningroom during the week, want a romantic dinner, an engagement or pregnancy announcement, use our private dining area for the most romantic date!!

We are open to just about anything (legal) of course!! Let us know how we can enhance your dining experience, we want to be your favorite place!! We strive for making people happy and comfortable!!

Not just another fish fry friday!!

Lent is here and we have some great fish options for you!! Featuring Not just another fish fry friday, panko and potato chip crusted fresh haddock(sometimes snapper or grouper) with chili aioli and sweet potato fries with a roasted garlic mayo!! Comes with veg and salad all for under 20!! It has been really popular, I had planned on changing the recipe each week but this one became the house special!! This week we also are featuring a fresh grilled salmon fillet rubbed with toasted sesame seeds, ginger and sesame oil served with veggies in a thai coconut ginger and lime broth over rice!! We have seared scallops served atop lobster ravioli with a tomato saffron cream sauce and green onions!! For the past few weeks we have featuring a dry aged prime ribeye, I cannot believe how popular it has been!! We have a couple die hard ribeye fans that must be kept happy!!! They know who they are!!! What a month!!!

Wow, was this December???? Thank you everyone for your patronage!! We feel totally blessed to have such loyal and wonderful customers and so happy to welcome all of you new comers.Wow!! Thank you to the tug Hill commission, thank you to the girl scouts and to Belleville school, park street bible study, we had a great time. Saturday we had a lovely wedding take place at the restaurant. It was such an honor to host the wedding right there, We had a great time, I hope to do lots more of the same. Rose petals and orchids and roses everywhere, piano music, fun food!! Really nice, thank you!

Feb. Is a great month!!

Well for winter and a a recession things seem to be going well. We are looking forward to a Mardi Gras dinner for the Belleville high School Foreign language club on Fat Tuesday!! This menu is so much fun I may just do one for the public!! We have a wedding for 80 people planned the end of the month, the wedding will actually take place in the restauant!!! I am really excited about that!! I would also like to thank Park Street bible study and The Tug Hill commission for chosing us for their night out!!! Stay tuned for some upcoming announcements, Cafe Mira is getting spring fever!!

Valentines Day

Thank you everyone who came for Valentines week, we had a blast. Thank you to Hallett's flowers and the Chocolate Cottage for the awesome deal on roses and candy, it was a hit!! Everyone seemed to have a great time!!!
